Description:
Welcome to Terracard, a pixel art top-down survival game where your only chance of survival lies in the magical deck of cards in your hands. Stranded in a mysterious world teeming with slime-like creatures, you must use your cards to shape the world around you. Place land, trees, and traps to build the environment and defend yourself from the growing threats that surround you.
Gameplay: You are the little guy stranded in an unknown world, and your deck of cards is your only tool for survival. Each card lets you manipulate the environment, whether it's placing land to expand your area, summoning trees to provide resources, or setting traps to protect yourself from the slimy creatures hunting you. But be careful: the creatures are relentless, and the world is full of secrets waiting to be uncovered.
Upgrades : Level up to upgrade your cards ! This will allow you to place more than one tile at a time. But be careful—make sure to balance your resources and traps wisely!
Enemy : Multiple slime types, with more to come!
COMING SOON:
An expansive, explorable map with secrets and upgrades, more cards, more power-ups, more upgrades, more enemies, and maybe even multiple levels?
That’s the plan, at least—no promises though! 😉
KNOWN BUGS:
- Placing a tile on the top of a tree causes the tree's top to disappear. (visual issue only)
- The water tiles created by blue slimes are predetermined, which means they don't connect perfectly with other tiles for now.
- Slimes can walk on water.
WEB VERSION ONLY:
- No "explosion" shaders for blue slimes upon their death.
- The game-over screen music stops and then restarts when the screen appears.
Controls
Movement:
- W, A, S, D – Move around the map
Card Placement:
- Mouse – Hover over the map to select an area
- Left-click – Press on the cards that appear at regular intervals to pick them up
- Left-click again – Place the card on the map in the selected location
- Right-click - Rotate selected tiles.
